During early embryogenesis, the olfactory axons and gonadotrophin-releasing hormone(GnRH)-secreting neurons undergo dynamic processes of differentiation, migration and proliferation, regulated by a complex network of molecular and cellular mechanisms responding to various hormonal and developmental signals.
